Celebrate the Pelvic Floor: A Time for Women to Move, Groove, Laugh, and Learn

Do you leak when you laugh? Is sex a thing of the past because of the pain? How many times per day (and night!) do you visit the loo? And when you're there -- do you feel relief and/or anxiety? One more question: Are you practicing Kegel exercises? And did you know they may be doing you more harm then good?!

Yes, ladies -- pelvic floor issues are common to more than 50% of us. (Ahem.) I daresay it's WAY more because most of us keep it hush-hush and/or suck it up and just live with it. But let's NOT live in fear of wetting our pants or resisting the mighty orgasm for the remainder of our days. Let's celebrate that pelvic floor! All we need is knowledge and practice. Although she may currently be wreaking havoc on our lifestyle, the pelvis is a sacred space so let's treat her as such.

We'll be staying at a boutique luxury resort in Uvita de Osa Costa Rica with the freshest foods from land and sea; an award-winning spa; and majestic views of the surrounding rain forest and Pacific Ocean.

You two will have plenty of private time and also the option to make some groovy new friends. Our typical age range is 50 to 75 and these are fun, chill, intriguing people. Some have traveled with us more than once and then there's a few who actually retreat... then re-retreat... then re-re-retreat!


Your adventure includes 7 days / 6 nights, flights and transportation, luxury accommodations, meals, and plenty of free time / play time. ​You'll have the option of daily yoga and meditation, beach time, massage, offsite activities, afternoon delights, and cocktails every evening before our dinners al fresco.

So bring your swimsuit, some sandals, your sweetie, and a smile.

Whether you're looking for laughter, meditation, a strong powerful yoga practice for strength and toning, a calm restorative practice to relieve stress and pain -- or all of the above -- your practice will be structured accordingly. Online or at SYS location in Annapolis or Severna Park MD.


1 person: $65 per hour practice (initial consult $75)

Julie Blamphin is the founder of Stretch Your Spirit. In 2010, she received her RYT 200 with YogaFit International and has since continued her study in the chakras, myofascial release, mindfulness, and Pelvic Floor Yoga with Leslie Howard. Julie's personal yoga journey began as a gymnast more than 40 years ago in her mother's school of gymnastics in upstate New York. At the age of 12, she began teaching young Special Olympians -- practicing balance, flexibility, strength, & sensory awareness. This experience was the foundation for her life work. And ever since, Julie has committed her teachings in a myriad of ways & worlds. Currently creating a buzz about pelvic floor health, she speaks at local events, hosts international retreats, and teaches private yoga practice in Annapolis and Severna Park Maryland.
